Our Mission

The mission of Camp Wilkes is to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for organized groups of all kinds. We proudly host a variety of groups, including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church youth associations, seniors, individuals with disabilities, family reunions, businesses, and more. We strive to ensure that all who visit respect the camp and its community, fostering an atmosphere of care, collaboration, and shared enjoyment of our beautiful natural surroundings.

Nestled in a serene and scenic area just north of the Biloxi Back Bay, Camp Wilkes, Inc. offers 82 acres of semi-wilderness grounds for outdoor recreation and cabin camping. Our facilities include:

Camp Wilkes invites you and your family to a day of classic holiday cheer at our annual event, Christmas on the Back Bay. Join us for a festive community gathering filled with unique shopping, family activities, and seasonal entertainment.

Time: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: 2109 Camp Wilkes Road, Biloxi, MS
Admission: Free and open to the public

Join Camp Wilkes, Inc. for a special Dinner, Sunset, & Music Fundraiser at the scenic River Peach Bar & Grill. This autumn event promises a memorable experience in support of a vital community institution.

​

The event will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the River Peach Bar & Grill, located at 12056 Cedar Lake Road, Biloxi, MS 39532.

​

Guests can look forward to a delightful evening. Enjoy the full River Peach menu or their popular Saturday Steak Night dinner special. Take in a serene sunset over the Tchoutacabouffa River and listen to a live music performance by Music Man Thomas Edwards from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The evening will also feature raffles and a Fall Spirit Basket drawing.

​

This event directly benefits the operation fund of Camp Wilkes, Mississippi's oldest non-profit youth camp. Your participation helps ensure this 89-acre facility on Biloxi's Back Bay remains a safe and enriching environment for Scouts, church groups, seniors, and other community organizations.

​

Gather your friends and family for a night of fantastic food, beautiful views, and wonderful music—all for a worthy cause. We look forward to seeing you there.

Camp Wilkes sits right on Biloxi Bay really nice. The cabins are clean each cabin has it's own bathroom and shower in it. One shower is a roll in for handicap. The grounds keeper is very nice and accommodating.

October 5-12, 2025 - Biloxi

Welcome to America’s Largest Block Party.  Cruisin’ The Coast® began in 1996 as a festival to celebrate antique, classic and hot rod vehicles, nostalgic music and related events.  374 vehicles registered that first year and in 2024 we had 9,961 registered vehicles.  Car enthusiasts from 45 states plus Canada, Germany, Puerto Rico and England arrive on the Mississippi Gulf Coast once a year to showcase their rides and to cruise our beautiful 30-mile stretch of beach-side highway with designated stops in Bay St. Louis, Biloxi, D’Iberville, Gulfport, Pass Christian, Ocean Springs and Pascagoula. 

Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival

The Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival was created to honor master potter, Peter Anderson, original potter of Shearwater Pottery, founded in 1928, and to celebrate the arts community. The festival aids in the economic development and growth of what has become Ocean Springs today.
